Then they will be known examples of how to be an effective teaching is through direct instruction.
An example of direct instruction is developed, is mentioned below:
One of the
first models to be put into practice was the active teaching model, developed
for the Missouri mathematics effectiveness project. one the basic of extant
research findings, a primary school
teaching model was designed, which teachers were trained to implement lessons
were to be structured as follows(Daniel Muijs, 2010):
A) Daily review ( +/- 8minutes, except on Mondays)
1. Review concepts and skills associated with
yesterday is homework
2. Collect and deal with homework assignment
3. Provide several mental computation exercises
B) Development ( +/- 20 minutes) ( introducing new concepts,

4. Accountability - check the pupils work
D) Homework assignment
1. Assign on a regular basis at the end of each maths
class except Fridays
2. Should involve about 15 minutes of work to be done
at home
3. Should include one or two review problems
